Elliot and Maria are a husband and wife from Baltimore who traded the East Coast for the mountains and open skies of Colorado Springs.
The first pieces Elliot made were for Maria. When people kept stopping her to ask where she got them, something clicked. Today every journal is still made one at a time in our basement workshop.

leather that gets better with age
Every journal is cut from Denver Side cowhide, sourced from Tandy Leather here in Colorado. Its naturally distressed look and subtle pull-up mean no two hides are alike.
The waxy finish is tough but soft to the touch, and every scratch and crease becomes a patina that is entirely your own.
Natural variations in color, texture and markings are a hallmark of genuine leather.

How long will my order take?
Standard journals ship in 1-3 business days. Custom journals are made to order and ship in 3-5 business days. Busy seasons can take a little longer.
Are your journals really handmade?
Yes. Each journal is cut, assembled and finished by hand in our Colorado Springs workshop. No mass production, no shortcuts.
Will my journal look exactly like the photos?
Each piece uses natural leather, so slight variations in color, grain and markings are normal and part of what makes yours unique.
Do you accept returns?
Because every piece is made to order, all sales are final. If there’s an issue with your order, reach out and we’ll make it right.
How do I care for my leather journal?
Keep it dry, avoid long stretches in direct sunlight, and use a leather conditioner now and then.
Do you take custom or bulk orders?
Yes. For larger orders or something outside our listed options, contact us and we’ll see what we can do.
