How long will my order take?
Every journal is made to order, so please allow 3-5 business days before it ships. Custom requests and busy seasons may take a little longer.
Can I customize my journal?
Absolutely. Our journals are designed to be personalized: you choose the size, leather and cord color, and you can add up to three embossed initials on custom orders. All the options are listed on the product page when you design your journal.
Do you take custom or bulk orders?
Yes. If you’re interested in a larger order or something outside our listed options, reach out and we’ll see what we can do.

Where are your journals made?
Every Pfarrside journal is handmade in our basement workshop in Colorado Springs, crafted one at a time with attention to detail and care.
Are your journals really handmade?
Yes. Each journal is cut, assembled and finished by hand. No mass production, no shortcuts.
Where do you source your leather?
We use Denver Side cowhide from Tandy Leather, right down the street from us. Staying local lets us choose our leather in person and keep it consistent. Read more about our leather.
Will my journal look exactly like the photos?
Each piece is handmade from natural leather, so slight variations in color, grain and markings are normal. They’re part of what makes your journal unique.

How should I care for my leather journal?
Leather is a natural material that ages beautifully. Keep it dry, avoid long stretches in direct sunlight, and use a leather conditioner now and then to maintain its look and feel.

Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Because every journal is made to order, all sales are final. If there’s an issue with your order, reach out and we’ll make it right.
